Then the blue diamond: returned it would get stuck on a steep grade at the bottom of my pool.
I was told I needed a unit with remote. I figured I would try the HAYWARD AQUA-VAC REMOTE ROBOTIC POOL CLEANER. This unit cleaned bottom and walls better then the previous 2, however It still would fall off course a bit on the steep incline in my pool. The manufacturer recommended a different bottom plate. They were kind enough to send me one. Unfortunatly this did not correct the problem.
The remote control was the reason I purchased this particular unit. I wish the remote had a joy stick instead of directional buttons. I found that I could never maneuver where i wanted it to go. I could only get it to go backward and forward. The other issue is it always wanted to go in a circle.
The one feature I liked was the filter cartridge. It was much easier to change & clean then the other two with the bag style filter.
I would possible consider this one again if they update the remote to a joy stick....
Specialty pools (SPP) were great to deal with they allowed me to return the unit no questions asked and they also had a great EZ-pay option 3 payments. My only wish would be a longer term EZ-pay option. Like 6months or 1yr. some of the units are 2k. Just FYI SPP
I may try the Aquabot T4 this year; still debating on cost. This unit is more expensive than all the previous models..."
